Deana C. Hood

A native of Franklin, Tennessee, Deana Hood graduated from Battle Ground Academy in 1989 and then received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 1993. Deana attended the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, received her Juris Doctorate degree in 1996, and was admitted to the practice of law in Tennessee that same year.
For the past 19 years, Deana has extensive trial experience in the General Sessions, Circuit, Chancery and Juvenile Courts of Williamson County, and the other surrounding counties in Middle Tennessee. She is also licensed to practice in the Federal Courts of Middle Tennessee. Deana is a member of the Williamson County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and is past director of the Tennessee John Marshall American Inns of Court.
Deana’s areas of practice include Family Law litigation (Divorce, Child Support, and Child Custody), Adoption, Juvenile Law, Grandparent-Rights, Custody and Visitation, and Appellate practice.

Deana has been appointed by the City of Franklin Board of Mayor and Alderman as the Franklin Municipal Judge, which is a part-time position so that Deana can still maintain her law practice.
Deana is married to Jim Pat Flowers and they have a daughter, Reagan “Mac” Flowers. Other members of their family include Daisy Dog and Teddy Bear. Deana is also an active member of the community having served as past president of the Williamson County Court Appointed Special Advocates and as a board member of the Davis House Child Advocacy Center. Deana is a proud member of the Franklin Noon Rotary and Thompson Station Church.
