Janice moved here from her native Indiana in 1996. She began working as the receptionist at Buerger, Moseley, Carson & Byrd, PLC, and moved with Rebecca when she opened Byrd & Associates, PLC in March, 2000, as her secretary. She is a founding staff member of Byrd & Associates, PLC. She is the administrative assistant for the Rebecca Byrd. Her other duties consist of coordinating client needs, and management of the office staff. Janice acts as an important team member in the coordination of cases with other attorneys and the preparation of cases for trial.
Previously she worked for 16 ½ years with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Muncie, Indiana. Janice was also a receptionist and legal secretary with Warner, Wallace, McLaren & Dague in Muncie, Indiana.
Brooklyn Nicole Byrd
Process Server
Brooklyn is a founding staff member of Byrd & Associates, PLC. Brooklyn joined Byrd & Associates while still in school at Franklin High School, where she was also a football competition cheerleader. Brooklyn was born in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Tennessee in 1989. She is a full time fashion design student at O’More College of Design and a full time member of the staff of Byrd & Associates.
Brooklyn’s primary responsibility is process serving, as well as greeting clients, assisting with bookkeeping and billing, and phone duties. Her upbeat personality and general disposition are assets to our firm.
Elaine King

A native of Utah, Elaine began working with Rebecca Byrd as a runner at Buerger, Moseley, Carson & Byrd, PLC, in 1998. She joined Byrd & Associates, PLC in 2002 as a File Manager and Runner. Elaine’s primary responsibilities are Receptionist and the Archivist for Byrd & Associates. She prepares and scans files for discovery, archiving, and organization.
Teresa Minyard
Legal Assistant

Teresa joined Byrd & Associates, PLC in January, 2001. She was born in Tennessee but raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Teresa lived in Northern California for twelve years, working as a financial assistant for a real estate developer, securities brokerage firm, and a university. When her family moved to Tennessee in 1994, Teresa worked from her home as a Court Transcriptionist for Franklin Court Reporters.
Teresa joined Byrd & Associates as a legal assistant in January 2001, and earned a Paralegal Diploma in 2003. She is the administrative assistant to Mr. Sanney and also the paralegal in charge of assisting clients in responding to discovery requests. She is also a member of the litigation team working closely with several clients in preparation for trial. Having personal knowledge of the legal system in Williamson County, Teresa is uniquely qualified to offer clients information and peace of mind.
Mark Bailey
Business Manager
Mark joined our staff in July 2006 as Business Manager. He and his family moved here from Virginia Beach, VA, upon their oldest child graduating from high school.
Retired U.S. Navy, Mark has an extensive Office Management background. His last position was as Personnel Officer at a Naval Personnel Support Detachment supervising over 80 military and civilian members responsible for all pay, personnel - administrative and transportation actions of over 3,000 members per month. He also has worked as the sole independent Navy Pay and Personnel Representative in a joint services assignment at Fort Bragg, NC (which required extensive physical and mental screening along with the highest possible security clearance access available). It is here that he became Airborne Qualified and traveled the world extensively.
Mark brings an overall vast knowledge of every aspect of Office Management and a unique prospective from many angles. The high standard he places upon himself and his duties are unsurpassed and will serve our clients well. His wife is a Williamson County Elementary School Teacher, they have a college age son and an elementary age daughter. Mark has also devoted years of volunteer time towards youth - coaching, mentoring and training.
Stacy Green
Paralegal
Stacy is a native and life long resident of Williamson County. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She earned her paralegal diploma in 2003.
Before joining Byrd & Associates, Stacy previously worked as Administrator of the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office which server Williamson, Hickman, Lewis and Perry Counties. While employed with the District Attorney’s Office, she established the VOCA program, DUI program and Drug Investigator program through grants she obtained from the Office of Criminal Justice Programs.
