Reginald L. Horton

REGINALD L. HORTON joined Byrd & Associates in 2005.  Mr. Horton is a native Nashvillian.  He received his undergraduate education at Tennessee State University, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Mr. Horton is also a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School where, in 2005, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) 

While at the Law School, Mr. Horton served as a member of the Mock Trial Board and Moot Court Traveling Team.  He was also a member of the Mock Trial Regional Team, as he and his partner were the Mock Trial Champions for the 2004 school year. 

Before attending law school, Mr. Horton worked at Deloitte & Touche as a Financial Reporting Analyst for eight (8 years).  While attending law school, he worked at Nashville Electric Service in the Office of the General Counsel and the Vanderbilt Legal Clinic, where he did extensive work as an advocate for relative caregivers and as guardian ad litem for juveniles.

Mr. Horton is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Williamson County Bar Association. Mr. Horton has also been involved with Junior Achievement and serves as a mentor and coach for the Bordeaux Youth Football League.
